Day Skipper

Content

Make the transition from crew to skipper, developing the practical skills and confidence to take command of a small yacht. This course gives you the chance to take charge on short passages under instruction. You will concentrate on pilotage, boat handling, seamanship and navigation.

Training vessel

More 40 (Name: One More Time) is a sporty yacht, elegant with excellent cruising performances based on ORC & IRC, designed by Maurizio Cossutti. The shipbuilding concept is based on light and strong construction. More 40 is light and fast but still very safe. Things like stainless steel frame, carbon fibre reinforcements, and vacuum infused hull makes More a yacht with the top of the line niche characteristics.

Costs for training and accommodation

€ 1.150,- 1 berth in shared double cabin

€ 1.600,- 1 berth in private single cabin

€ 1.950,- 2 berths in shared double cabin

Included:

• 6 full days of tuition from a RYA qualified instructor
• Accommodation on board from Saturday 15:00 to Saturday 09:00
• Bed linen and towels
• Port fees at home port
• RYA Dayskipper Handbook
• RYA Scheme logbook
• RYA Day Skipper Licence (upon successful completion)

Not included:

Travel expenses, food (also for the instructor), diesel, marina fees other than home port, permit, cleaning & tourist tax (approx. €200,-/week on top of travel)

Packing list

In addition to your personal items: Towels, warm clothes, wet weather gear, sailing shoes/boots, gloves, hat, sun cream, sunglasses.

Please do not wrap up too much and use soft bags.
